Beetroot & shiso 💗

Ingredients for 10 Onigiri:

  • 1 cooked beetroot
  • Furikake shiso
  • Rice
  • 1.5 nori sheets

Process:

  • Peel the beetroot, cut it into your desired shape, and season with shiso furikake (no need to add extra salt).
  • Once the rice is cooked, you can start assembling the onigiri. Follow the step-by-step guide.
  • In a mold previously soaked in water, add a spoonful of rice, ensuring to create a well. Add a generous spoonful of beetroot. Then, add another spoonful of rice, close the mold with slight pressure, and unmold.
  • Cut the nori sheets to fit the onigiri, and wrap them around each one.
  • For decoration, you can add some beetroot pieces on top or sprinkle a bit of shiso furikake.

Enjoy immediately to savor the fluffy rice.
